5/5/96 Ziedon woke up from a restless sleep in his room of the tavern, in the town of Dmerzig, in the kingdom of Rang, in early autumn, in the sixteenth day of the seventh month of the moon Halkak, in the one-thousand and first year of the Zioth. 'I will find my companions today,' he thought briefly in the time between wakefulness and sleep, when the living meet the dead and the forces of nature collide to brinman once again into the world of the day. The thought was soon forgotten, as such thoughts so frequently are. Ziedon dressed and walked out of the inn. Brinn awoke also. He was in the back of a wagon, that same wagon that had brought him twenty miles to this town. He thanked the driver and left his transportation to go wherever the driver wished it to go. Around him, the entire town was waking for their daily work. A few townspeople glanced awkwardly at Brinn. A Dwarf was obviously not a common sight here. Never the less, Brinn was able to look around, noting the locations of the armory, the grocery, the cobbler's, and numerous other shops, in addition to the large number of merchants on the streets. This was a market day. Kay Wanderwit entered town from the other side. She had woken early with her charge in order to arrive in town before the day was wasted. Her charge, of corse, was the cleric Ardith. The two of them had accompanied each other for the last ten miles of their previously seperate journies. Sahlman stood up from the area he had briefly slept in and looked around. He was weary of recieving the odd glances at his dress and appearance. He was unconfortable after the chilly northern night he would never get used to. He was annoyed at himself for not leaving the town he had spent so long in, whenat heart, he yearned for adventure. History is frequently altered drastically by random fate, unexpected coincidances, and human emotion. In this case, history may not have been altered so drastically, but, on that sixteenth day of the seventh month of the moon Halkak, in the one thousand and first year of the Zioth, five adventurers met in the center of the same town, Dmerzig. Each wandered to the market, and there they met. That meeting decided their fate: to venture out into the world together. Each had a seperate purpose, but they all had one thing in common: they were all adventurers. They all possessed the skill and wanderlust required of such an exactingproffession. The five prepared themselves. Each bought what supplies they would need, discussed with one another what steps to take, or went on their own to explore surrounding areas or the town itself, and then left Dmerzig. *********************************************************************** Please tell me what your character does, or discuss what you do among yourselves, either by FIDOnet mail or netmail (if you have a mailer).
