Turn 37
Ziedon.
turning his attention to Waylad he says, “However, you should still take the percautions I mentioned. Find other soldiers who you know are loyal to Maelbourg and explain the situation to them; get their support before you confront Galgewe and you might prevent the foreign villian Balban from seizing control of your town.”
Ziedon rests his pale hand on Waylad's shoulder and says, “I am counting on you. Now, off with you.”
Ziedon's mannerisms and demeanor change the further Waylad gets from the black robed self-proclaimed herbalist, slipping back to his normal unapproachable self he mutters, “Bah, weak-willed snails…”
Ziedon looks over at Sahlman and his two companions and snarls, “The show is over. Don't you have somewhere to be?” With a snort, Ziedon watches the three warriors ride off.
Turn 40
I was going to use this to get rid of Korisca, but someone took over the character.
“I thought I knew the world, but I've never seen so much water as in Black Lake, or so many fish as swim through Dunweig.”
“Not bad.” The minstel put his hand on Korisca's back. She spun around, and before anyone could tell what happened, the minstrel was on the floor. He righted his jaw, and stood up, several feet from Korisca this time, who had a knife ready in her hand. “Didn't mean to scare you. I liked your verse. Do you have another one?”
“Verse?”
“Not the best of poets, but there's some potential. Did you think up that line yourself?”
Turn 42
Kreemon's original monologue
“I met him that first day that you went into the temple. You were gone for so long, that I finally got up to get out of the rain. I met Moren standing under the cover of a lady who salts fish. He was staring out to the distance. Bork went over to him and started sniffing the man's pants. I called him back, surprised at his behavior. Moren spoke to me and told him that he didn't mind Bork, that he has the smell of meat on him because he was a butcher. We talked, I was trying to get more information about this town. I ask him about some bones for Bork and he agreed. He seemed distant, I was just trying to start up conversation, so I ask him what was bothering him. He told me that he felt he was in danger, that Death was coming for him, that he only felt like he has a couple days left. He told me that he knew the hour of his death. I went to see him on several occasions while he have been here. We just talked. I came here today to chat for a bit and to get a few bones for Bork and when I got here the crowd was here. No one seems to know what happened. They say a man, the armsmaster, named Elmired, found him when he came in this morning. When I got here, his skin was white as could be, and he was cold, colder than a normal corpse.” Kree pointed to Johannes. “He just came in and offered to look and see if he could determine anything. I don't really know him. But, I can't get over the lack of officals being here, so I let him look.”
Turn 73
1/11/05. Chris was playing Bork.
All these men! Bad men, since He wanted to hurt them, so they must be bad. Then one of the others arrived. She would help. Bork watched her in anticipation, but then she ran, and one of the bad men ran after her. Oh well. He would have to protect Him himself.
Then the high door opened, and He climbed in, away from this place full of bad men. He was gone! The bad men tried to follow Him, so Bork dragged them away, one by one, but they always got back up and ran for the high door. Then some of them turned on Bork with their shiny sticks.
Bork remembered that shiny sticks could hurt, so he darted away from the men in the shiny clothes and made for the door he originally came in with his master. One of the men tried to grab him, but Bork easily dodged, letting him tumble face-first to the floor. Two more tried the same, but it was the shiny stick that Bork couldn't dodge. He let out a quiet yelp as a gash appeared in his coat, and then squeezed past two more and out the door.
Running away from the shiny sticks, Bork headed back the way he came into the big house, sniffing the air trying to pick up his master's scent.
Bork felt a gentle trembling of the ground, but it went away. He also heard two of the men running after him. He would normally be faster than them, but the halls were narrow, and he skidded on the smooth floor when he turned. One tried to get in front of him, and the other poked him in the behind, drawing blood. His master's scent was very faint.
Getting his feet underneath him, Bork started an all out sprint to get away from the men and get back to the fresh open air.
Turn 86
Not sure who wrote this…
The trial has been going on for a couple days now. Ardith took Sahl's advice and was completely open with the priests, but things have still taken an awfully long time. She hasn't been allowed to leave the temple, and Sahl and Johannes haven't been allowed in, so besides a bunch of reserved, business-like priests, Ardith has had no company. On the up side, she hasn't been subjected to torture, and she's been given comfortable accommodations in a large furnished cell. She's even been allowed to wander the lower level of the temple under guard.
Finally, the day comes when she's expected to prove her claims about magic. The court comes to order slowly, and it's several minutes after the stern high priest who serves as judge has sat down that the room is quiet. There is a great number of priests in the room today, some even wearing the robes of High Priest, and at least as many acolytes stand in the back of the room. When things quiet down, the judge motions for Ardith to stand. “Ardith of Zadothar. You claimed to have witnessed and produced effects of magic. Today you will demonstrate your ability before the court. And I remind the court that the events of this hearing are not to be discussed outside the Temple of Andritha.”
Turn 106
Ziedon:
Due to her scream, Ziedon works fast, first his wound and then using his old cut robe, he cleans his boot and the evidence of his bloody footprints up. Looking at the window, Ziedon thanks the gods that it is still too early in the day for the fisherman to be coming back to shore and the relative seclusion of the house and baths. <…>
Once dead, Ziedon carries her to the bed and places her under the covers, leaving her arms from under the covers. Clenching his teeth, Ziedon pulls the blade from his leg. After catching his breath he cleans the blade on his robe and uses it to slit the woman's wrists. He then puts the hilt in her right palm and closes her fingers around it.
Drawing one of his own blades, Ziedon cuts the bottom of his robe off, quickly he bandages his wound, making sure to clean up any of his blood that might have dripped. Getting into his pack Ziedon puts on his other fresh robe. Now, with a sense of urgency, Ziedon looks through the wardrobe and finishes his search of the room [under the rug, bed, walls, etc]. Once finished, he takes the keys from Rosteral's pocket, quickly searches him, and leaves the room headed down the stairs.
Turn 111
Ziedon:
After consulting with Galpen, Ziedon entered a jeweler's shop, where he hoped to find a ruby ring, an emerald necklace and a special gold- headed sword-cane he would have to commission. The shop itself did not contain much jewelry in clear sight. There were a great many silver and gold chains hanging on the walls, a few silver rings on hooks, some of which were set with inexpensive stones, and an open wooden box containing flawed gems. The rest, according to Galpen, was in locked drawers. One soldier armed with sheathed longsword and crossbow stood on either side of a wide front counter with raised edges.
OOC: Doesn't change Ziedon's plans, he will bend over to fuss with his shoes/boots and cast the spell under his breath on the jeweler and then continue as planned. You can continue to write if you want. :)
Turn 139
At first, I didn't tell Kreemon he was a dog, and I didn't tell Ziedon that Bork was Kreemon. Instead, I sat in the middle and editted emails for a while to give each player the proper perspective. The turn is from Ziedon's perspective. Here's Kreemon's side.
Kreemon slowly opened his eyes to the new morning, to find Korisca huddled up against him, and Ziedon making a racket.
“Oh, wake you did I?”
Korisca stretched her arms, then wrapped them around Kreemon. “You really should try this, Ziedon. It's a much more comfortable way to sleep.”
“So,” Ziedon said, “where is my necklace?”
“It wasn't on him.”
Ziedon frowned. “Tell me exactly what happened.”
Kreemon got up and started to relay the adventures of the previous night, until Korisca pulled him towards her and sat him back down on the floor. “Calm down,” Korisca said. She calmly stroaked the hair on Kreemon's head while telling the story herself.
Kreemon looks at Korisca askance as she tells the story, waiting until she is finished to ask her, “Um, are you feeling okay?”
Korisca didn't answer Kreemon. She just continued to stroak his head.
“Hmm,” Ziedon said. “An army you say?” Ziedon rubbed his chin. “That might prove to be advantageous since the Priests are going to be a little riled up this morning. The army will give them something else to focus on.
“We might think about moving to those new quarters that Kreemon secured for us. We can leave a note here for the Bard, listing a place and time that he can contact us. I would rather he not know of our new hiding place.
“Where is Kreemon anyway?”
“I don't know,” Korisca said. “He has been acting kind of strange lately, with the open windows and all. Maybe he went for a walk.”
Kreemon stands up and says, “Um, hello? I'm right here..”
“What's gotten into you?” Korisca asks.
Ziedon said, “Maybe he is getting us breakfast. I am starving.”
“Yeah. A nice big breakfast would be great. I still feel stiff all over.”
Kreemon goes over to Ziedon and starts waving his hands in front of his face, “I AM RIGHT HERE!!”
Ziedon looks at you and says, “Look you mangy mutt! I don't know where your master is, but if you come any closer to me, you won't have to worry about seeing him ever again!!”
Kreemon reponds a little confused, “Mutt? What are you talking about?” as he looks down at his body.
Kreemon twisted his head to look back, and saw a tail – his tail. And paws – his paws. Somehow, and it was almost impossible to fathom how, Kreemon had become a dog. And there was only one person he knew who might have the power to turn a man into a dog.
Kreemon looks at Ziedon carefully for a second and then carefully moves backwards. Kreemon looks up and makes eye contact with Ziedon and then looks down at his paw. He holds his front paw up so Ziedon can see it and then lowers it to the ground and sketches a large “K” on the ground and then Kreemon thumps a paw against his chest.
Kreemon looks back up at Ziedon and sketches a large “Z” on the ground and then points a paw at Ziedon.
