Age Luben is about average height, but appears a good deal shorter because of a perpetual stoop and the beginnings of a slight hunch. This is an occupational hazard common to cobblers, due to their need to spend a large part of the day nearly bent double. The hair on the crown of his head is all but gone, leaving only a short salt and pepper stubble upon the edges of his head. His eyes are dark brown and watery. He tends to blink excessively in bright light.
Age Luben runs the cobbler's guild. He is one of the thirty most powerful townsmen in Maelbourgplugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigMaelbourg

An hour or so after the tailor left, a messenger arrived with an unsigned letter from Galgewe: I will not be able to visit you myself tonight due to prior engagements, so I will answer some of your questions here. Please destroy this message when you have comitted it to memory. If you forget, its ink is designed to fade within a day or two.

The cobbler's guild is a small group and not very influential, but Age is quite happy with that. Because his guild is not as prominent as the others, he rose to the position of guildmaster at a younger age than most. Though his position as a guildmaster makes him respected in town, he thus far has been able to avoid trouble in the brewing conflict as both sides have seen the cobblers as being of little import.
Age is a bootmaker at heart, and loves to craft his wares with unusual or exotic materials. Snakeskin and other lizard hides are among his favorites, and he will go out of the way to acquire such components, which are seldom available in Maelbourgplugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigMaelbourg

Description
Makierrei is a short man, about five two, potbellied and of medium build. His arms hang out a bit, as if he were a much heavier man than he actually is. He is balding and wears a moustache, which parallels heavy eyebrows. Almost comical when described, he is disappointingly ordinary in person. As the primary place of worship for a population of six thousand, the House of Morenth is an enormous structure, perhaps five or six hundred feet across at the longest, but it's not just one big rectangular building. It looks like it's been added to many times over hundreds of years. Whether the building is bigger or smaller underground is impossible to tell. It is known that a library exists under the House, to which access is severely restricted. Expensive glass windows d….
His wife Bera is an unusually clever woman, who helped him rise to guildmaster through her keeping of the accounts. She has been distracted of late by caring for their newborn twins. Age and Bera are quite concerned about the ongoing conflict in Maelborg, and have begun hiring additional guards to protect their household (and the nursery in particular). Age is likely to push for a solution that leads to peace if the opportunity arises.
