As a bonus action, create a random thrown weapon, which can be used immediately as part of a ranged attack (range 30, 1d8 base damage). The weapon cannot be enhanced with other magical effects, and becomes brittle and useless at the end of your turn.
Roll a d20:
At higher levels: At level 5 and every 5 levels thereafter, the weapon deals an additional 1d8 damage.
(balance notes: Compare to Fire Bolt, which deals 1d10 damage with a 4x the range. This is a thrown weapon, so it adds strength bonus, but doesn't get the benefit of being a ranged spell attack)

Lusion is the opposite of illusion, right?
You create a hyper-realistic painting on a nearby surface that lasts for the duration. Only one such magically enhanced painting can exist at a time. The painting can cover up to a 5' square, and appears to be an entirely real object or scene (albeit unmoving).
If a creature uses its action to examine the image, the creature can determine that it's fake with a successful investigation check against your spell save DC. Alternatively, touching it immediately reveals it to be fake, unless the caster is really clever about it (for example, turning an actual window into a painting of a window with something else behind it).
When the duration expires, the image becomes a mundane painting about as good as something the caster could have created in ten minutes or less with inexpensive paints.
(balance notes: Compare to Minor Illusion. This is less powerful because it requires a surface, is two-dimensional and can't include sound, but more powerful because it doesn't have to be a single creature or object)

Within one round of seeing a spell cast, you can reuse some of that magical energy to cast a far weaker version of the spell. The new spell has these limitations:

Summons a single insect, no larger than 2“ across. The insect follows simple commands for the duration. It will follow a single command until the caster issues another as a move action. The insect has 1HP, an AC of 12, a maximum speed of 10, and if it is capable of causing damage, it rolls d20-2 and deals 1 damage.

Wizards have their Prestidigitation, Druids have their Druidcraft, and Tempest Domain Clerics have this. Create minor weather effects that don't cause damage. For example:

Summons a single mundane object, no larger than a 10' cube, determined by the DM. The object isn't obviously useful right now, but will be sometime in the next 24 hours. The object is entirely real (does not radiate magic), but returns to wherever it came from when the spell ends or is cast again.

Dogs, cats, livestock, wild beasts, insect swarms or whatever else gives the maximum dramatic or comedic effect wander into the area from the surrounding terrain, the apartment next door, or other planes of existence. In the first round, 1d4 animals arrive, which is downright reasonable, but things quickly get out of hand when 1d6 arrive in the second round, 1d8 on the third, then 1d12, and finally 1d20 each round on the 5th-10th. These animals desire to stay in the area while the caster is concentrating, and are left to their own devices after that. The animals are not under the caster's control, and are unaware of why they wanted to be there all of a sudden. Unless provoked or befriended, they are neutral towards any allies or enemies in the area. This spell is likely to obscure vision or create difficult terrain.
The DM has full veto power on the types of animal that appear, and full control over the animals.
(balance notes: Compare to the 1st level spells Fog Cloud and Grease, since it does little more than obscure view and/or create difficult terrain)

| Level | 1 |
| Casting Time | 1 action |

| Range | 30' radius, up to 10 targets |
| Duration | Instantaneous, or 10 minutes |
You hold an inexpensive mundane object small enough to fit in one or two hands, and it's replicated into the hands of targets within the spell's radius. If there are too many targets, those who are physically closest to the caster are picked first. The replicas are permanent if they are food or drink. Otherwise, they disappear when the spell ends. Unwilling targets may make a DEX save.
At higher levels: Each spell slot higher than 1st adds 10 targets and 10' radius.
(balance notes: Seems like a lot of conjuration, but not super useful, so 1st level)

| Casting Time | reaction or bonus action |
| Components | M (the weapon to be summoned) |
| Range | Same plane |
| Duration | Varies |
As a bonus action, or as a reaction to being attacked, you summon a weapon to your hand that you've marked specifically for this spell. You can mark any number of weapons in this way, through a ritual requiring six hours of preparation, and 5gp of ground gemstones, which are infused into the weapon in a way that is clearly visible.
As an action, the weapon can be magically returned to where it came from. A weapon cannot be summoned again until it has been returned in this way.
